What a great place, the mind of the Wild West Writer.
Four years passed while I worked on my first novel. A year of selling the manuscript, another year of publishing, editing, and waiting patiently. Ok, not so patiently.
Carter yelled out. “Hey, Boy! You wanted to be part of this, you count, 3, 2, 1. Johnstone, you shit! On one, we go! On one, you die!”
Johnstone nodded to the boy.
He counted. “3…”
The two men set their feet, shook the hands.
Their shoulders faced each other, the stare of death given to each other.
Giving up is not an option.
One serious annoying item on the list of a writer, is Patience.
A word that is more similar to fingernails on a chalkboard.
“You usually have to wait for that which is worth waiting for.”
Your story is a journey, writing is a journey, publishing is a journey, marketing... On and on guys, you can do it. Today I want to share a personal experience I hope can inspire you in your journey.
